Quality issues: repetition, generic output, missed requirements
AI writing is strong, but not perfect. If your book isn’t meeting expectations, use this checklist.
1) Check your prompt (most common cause)
- Did you specify the target reader?
- Did you define what to include/exclude?
- Did you give structure preferences?
- Did you provide style rules (avoid hype, no buzzwords, etc.)?
See: Write a great book prompt
2) Add structure in the prompt
If the TOC feels off, paste a draft TOC directly into your prompt.
Youbooks won’t follow it perfectly, but it helps.
3) Use TOC Approval for more control
Enable Request TOC Approval (BETA) so you can edit the TOC before writing starts.
See: Request TOC Approval
4) Increase Editing level
Higher editing levels can:
- reduce redundancy,
- improve polish,
- align better with instructions.
See: Editing levels
5) Use Post-editing for high-level fixes
If the book is delivered but has:
- inconsistencies,
- repeated ideas,
- uneven flow,
…use Post-editing to improve it.
See: Post-editing
6) Use sources (if you have them)
If the topic is too generic, attach Content Sources that contain the detail you care about.
