Project rejection: why it happens

Sometimes Youbooks rejects a project and refunds your credits.

This is done to prevent you from waiting hours for a project that is very likely to fail.

Common reasons

1) The request is fiction

Youbooks writes non-fiction only. Fiction projects are rejected.

2) The request is likely to be blocked by model/provider controls

Youbooks relies on third-party model APIs (e.g., OpenAI / Google / Anthropic).

If a prompt looks very likely to be blocked by those APIs during generation, Youbooks may reject the project early and refund your credits.

Important note: Youbooks does not “custom filter” your prompt to decide what to write — rejection is primarily about whether the provider is likely to allow the generation to complete.

What happens to my credits?

If a project is rejected, credits are refunded.
