Source troubleshooting

My source is “Processing” for a long time

Large sources can take hours to process. If it’s stuck unusually long, contact support with:

  • your source name,
  • a screenshot of the status.

My PDF has images / tables

Images in PDFs are ignored. Only text is extracted.

If your PDF is scanned (image-only), convert it to text first (OCR) and upload the text output.

My source is mostly links

Youbooks does not follow links in your documents. Your source must contain the actual content you want used.

My source is in a different language than my book

Sources should match the book language. If you attach sources in another language, the model is much less likely to use them successfully.

I need to use more than 500,000 words

You cannot. The max word count of all sources combined can be up to 500K words.
