BYOK troubleshooting

My key is rejected / won’t save

  • Double-check you copied the full key (no extra spaces).
  • Confirm the key is active in your provider account.
  • If you rotated a key, delete the old one and save the new one.

My project fails when BYOK is enabled

Common causes:

  • provider rate limits
  • insufficient provider credit/billing issue
  • provider content restrictions

If a project fails, contact support with:

  • your Project ID
  • whether BYOK was enabled
  • which providers you configured

I don’t see certain models

Some models may be excluded due to extreme costs that don’t make sense for book-length workflows.
