BYOK troubleshooting
My key is rejected / won’t save
- Double-check you copied the full key (no extra spaces).
- Confirm the key is active in your provider account.
- If you rotated a key, delete the old one and save the new one.
My project fails when BYOK is enabled
Common causes:
- provider rate limits
- insufficient provider credit/billing issue
- provider content restrictions
If a project fails, contact support with:
- your Project ID
- whether BYOK was enabled
- which providers you configured
I don’t see certain models
Some models may be excluded due to extreme costs that don’t make sense for book-length workflows.
