What is Youbooks?
Youbooks helps you generate coherent, long-form non-fiction books from a prompt — optionally grounded in your own reference material (“Content Sources”) and styled with reusable Style Prompts or Human Models. It’s for people who want to ship real books on real topics, quickly, while keeping control over the topic, structure, tone, and final polish.
What Youbooks is best for
- Practical non-fiction guides (how-to, business, marketing, self-improvement)
- Educational explainers and topic deep-dives
- Cohesive books where the topic is broadly understood by mainstream language models
- Draft-first workflows where you’ll do final polishing before publishing
What Youbooks won’t do
- Fiction of any kind, or erotica.
- Finish your half-written book or “extend my first chapter.”
- Read your mind: if you have a hyper-specific vision, youbooks cannot deliver that vision.
- Deliver zero-repetition drafts; normal nonfiction repeats key ideas.
- Write on topics the models don’t broadly know, or force fringe viewpoints they don’t share.
- Auto-convert media (video/blog/podcast/website). Convert to text first, then use it as prompt or source.
- Support extreme structures (e.g., 200k words with 1 chapter, or 10k words with 100 chapters).
How projects work (prompt + optional sources)
- Youbooks writes new non-fiction books from your prompt. It doesn’t polish or extend partial drafts.
- Content Sources are optional. If you use them:
- Create sources first, then attach up to 3 per project.
- Supported: text, DOCX, PDF, RTF, EPUB, ODT, Markdown. No URLs, images, or videos.
- Match source language to the book; links inside sources aren’t followed.
- Prompt + sources steer content; style comes from your prompt or a Style Prompt/Human Model.
- Projects that are fiction or likely blocked by model/provider controls are rejected and refunded.
The “Youbooks way” to use the product
- Write a clear prompt describing the book you want.
- (Optional) Create Content Sources from your documents/transcripts and attach up to 3 of them.
- (Optional) Choose a Style Prompt or Human Model if you want a specific voice.
- Generate the book, then export as Markdown or DOCX for final polishing.
